Charlotte Fletcher - Upholsterer

In the depths of Belsize Park, behind one of the many white fronted houses sits a room so perfect, that it could be placed happily in the imagination of any creative. Slick lines, perched amongst a mature city garden, framed by town houses, scaffolding and leaves. It’s doors fold out to create stage on which Charlotte Fletcher has no other intention but to work things back to life.

If, like me, you have an unhealthy obsession with buying (or picking up from the side of the road) old items of furniture, with the unrealistic intention to transform my home into the place to be, Charlotte is by far the worst person you could ever meet. Why? Because what she does, she does so well that it can clearly become addictive. Mid shoot we ventured to her friend and client Audrey’s house to take a look at some of her creations. Audrey it seems is quite under her spell. As they talk headboard ideas I drool over the brown cord vintage Parker Knoll day bed and other furnishings they have visioned up together.

One thing is for sure, Charlotte is great to be around. A morning creating website content with her really did not feel like work at all. Plus she makes a killer Avocado on toast!
